Summary

May 5th, 2009

If you’re here to read the summary of this blog, you’re a bit early. But keep checking back, as I’ll use this as a SparkNotes version of The Blog So Far. Right now, there’s not much to summarize, other than the basic plan, which is this:

This blog will be updated 4-5 times a week. It is an actual correspondence between a boy entering his first year of junior high school and his father, who has been dead for seven or eight years. Me? I’m just the editor.

I’m really interested in your feedback. Do you like the posts? Do you relate with Trevor or his dad? Do you think this is all b.s.? Are you bored by the spiritual aspects? Do you care more about life in junior high or about life after death?

This whole thing is a bit of an experiment, in more ways than one. And you? You’re one of the main test subjects.

    About

Letter Off Dead is an actual transcript of letters sent between a 7th grade boy and his dead father. It covers the subjects of life and death, faith and doubt, fathers and sons.

The textual transcript has been edited and presented here by Tom Llewellyn, a writer from Tacoma, Washington. The illustrations have been edited and presented by artist James Stowe, also from Tacoma. None of the content has anything to do with Tom's or James' beloved and very separate employers.
